Originally from Upstate New York, Kathryn spent her middle and high school years in Phoenix, AZ and Austin, TX, where she became immersed in theatre and earned the nickname of “Lighting Goddess,” making creative lighting displays, costumes, and welding for sets. She graduated from Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts in Santa Maria, CA, and worked in the technical side of theatre. Her company name, Red Dragon Delights, was inspired by her fond experiences with the Red Dragon Players, her high school theatre group.
Kathryn’s artistic side is now centered on knitting, crocheting, and creating specialty confections for Red Dragon Delights. Some of her offerings include handmade hats, headbands, gloves, and scarves for the winter months; coasters, washcloths, dishcloths, and rag rugs for the house, and she will happily work with you to custom make a creation just for you.
Her specialty confections include French macaroons, chocolate covered pomegranates, cherries, and pretzels, chocolate bark, and fudge. She is always open to trying new things! She loves doing themed holiday treats and has a real knack for making the complicated seem effortless (not to mention tasty!).
